These binocs aren't bad for gen 1+. While they are bulkier than others they are actually quite light. Compared to the NightStar binocs which are smaller but heavier. I also really like the adjustment on these. There is one objective lens adjustment dial in the front instead of 2. This makes setting your distance easier. Each eye still has a focus lever. All the adjustments are much easier to access and ergonomic. By far my favorite of the gen 1 devices I've seen for layout. The adapter bracket for the rhino mount however gets in the way of the power button. I can barely squeeze my finger in there to turn it on as seen in pictures. A pen(universal gunsmithing tool) or a cartridge tip fits perfectly and works quite well.
Both tubes have a bit of burn-in on the middle of the image. I'm not thrilled with it because otherwise these would be perfect. Also the bulkiness of the device might make adjustment harder. I was able to get it adjusted well on my helmet and use it fine, however this may vary and the rhino 1 mounts have limited adjustment. You may end up adjusting straps on your helmet to make it work in more edge cases.
